At Operation Veterans Care (OVeC), we recognize that supporting autistic children and their families requires a comprehensive, compassionate, and community-driven approach. Our programs are designed to address real-life challenges—from basic needs to emotional support, service navigation, and creative development.
Through OVeC, the Spectrum Food Pantry goes beyond traditional food distribution by addressing the unique sensory and dietary needs of autistic children. Many families struggle with food selectivity, texture sensitivities, and limited access to appropriate nutrition. This program ensures families receive autism-informed food support while also helping to reduce food insecurity in the community.
OVeC provides a safe, understanding, and judgment-free space where parents and caregivers can come together. This group focuses on emotional support, shared experiences, and practical learning, helping families feel less isolated and more empowered in their journey.
Navigating autism services can be overwhelming. OVeC’s Resource Response Team acts as a bridge between families and critical services, helping them access schools, therapies, healthcare providers, and community programs. The goal is to ensure no family feels lost in the system.
OVeC’s Spectrum Studio focuses on creative expression and developmental growth through art, music, sensory play, and structured activities. This program creates a space where autistic children can learn, express themselves, and thrive in ways that honor their individuality.
