"Every Child, Every Ability, Every Possibility"
Operation Veterans Care (OVeC) is a registered nonprofit organization in Jamaica, dedicated to supporting children, families, and persons living with disabilities.
What This Means:
Our registration with both the COJ and the DCFS means that OVeC operates under governmental oversight with full legal standing to collect donations, provide aid, and partner with local and international agencies.
We are required to maintain accurate financial records, submit annual reports, and ensure transparency in all our charitable operations.
This ensures that every dollar, package, or volunteer effort entrusted to OVeC is accountable, traceable, and directed toward legitimate humanitarian relief — including our Hurricane Melissa Relief and Recovery Program.
You may contact those organizations to verify our credential.
Dear Fellow Jamaicans,
In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, our hearts are heavy—yet they remain full of hope. The storm has tested our resilience, shaken our communities, and disrupted countless lives. But even in the midst of loss, one truth shines brighter than ever: nothing can wash away the strength and spirit of the Jamaican people.
At Operation Veterans Care (OVeC), we stand in deep solidarity with every family, child, and elder who has been affected. Our team is already mobilizing to provide assistance—food, clothing, bedding, as well as emotional and psychological support. We know recovery takes time, and we want you to know that you are not alone.
Let us take this moment to reach out to one another—to check on our neighbors, comfort the vulnerable, and rebuild not only our homes but also our collective spirit. Whether you are in Kingston, St. Ann, Montego Bay, or Portland, we are one people under one flag, and together we will rise again.
To those who have lost much, we offer our prayers, compassion, and tangible support. To those who have stepped up to help, we say thank you—your generosity embodies the true heart of Jamaica.
As we move forward, may we rebuild with faith, wisdom, and unity. Let us remember that from every storm, a new sunrise awaits.
With love, care, and unwavering commitment, we extend our hands to help rebuild lives and restore hope.
With deepest compassion,
