About Operation Veterans Care Limited
Our History
Operation Veterans Care Limited was founded in 2024 by Dr. Canute White, Nyjole Christie, and Enid White after they become uncomfortable with the plight of many needy Jamaicans. Therefore, the trio saw a need for more accessible health, food, and accomodation resources for needy Jamaicans. Therefore, as a Jamaican nonprofit corporation, Operation Veterans Care Limited (OVCL) is dedicated to the work of helping Jamaicans who have fallen on challenging circumstances through tailored support to help them gain independence again.
Our Team
Our team comprises therapists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals passionate about supporting the welfare and wellness of Jamaicans.
Dr. Canute White - President/CEO/Founder
DR. CANUTE WHITE is a Jamaican scholar who migrated to the United States. He has worked in many sectors over the years and have accumulated knowledge, skills, and ability along the way. He was enlisted in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) for over 26 years before working as a dean of discipline in the Jamaican high school system. His tasks as dean of discipline continued at the community college level with a more sophisticated name called director of safety and behavioral management, where he was in charge of five campuses. He is a Florida Notary Public and had served as a Justice of the Peace in Jamaica.
Dr. White has a background in counselling with a BSc in counselling, psychology with a MSc in counselling psychology, and organizational studies with a MSc in organizational studies. While those academic alcaldes were achieved in Jamaica, he has completed and earned the Master of Public Administration and the Doctorate in Education with concentration in organizational leadership at Nova College of Business and College of Education respectively.
Nyjole Christie-White: Cofounder, Chief Operations Officer, and Secretary.
NYJOLE CHRISTIE-WHITE is a Jamaican who currently resides in the United States. She is the wife of a veteran and a philanthropist. She has many years of experience in hospitality, in which she took undergrad courses while working in the field. She also worked in customer service and shipping logistics in Jamaica. She was also trained in supervisory management at the tertiary level.
Enid White-Evans: Cofounder, General Manager, and Treasurer.
ENID WHITE - EVANS is a Jamaican currently residing in Jamaica; hence, she has direct contact with Jamaican veterans as she manages the local operations. Enid has a wealth of knowledge in the insurance and financial industry, which she continues to serve. She was also trained in supervisory management at the tertiary level.

We partner with various organizations, businesses, associations, communities, nonprofits, such as the Salvation Army, and individuals in Jamaica and other countries to provide comprehensive care services to Jamaicans in need.

- volunteering and donations: The public and corporate society can also extend support to needy Jamaicans by volunteering time or donating to OVCL
- Public policy advocacy: You may also support needy Jamaicans by advocating for policies that benefit Jamaicans in need through our company and other entities
- Help us identify Jamaicans who are in dire financial and other needs

What we do and how we do what we do
WHAT WE DO
- We partner with various organizations, businesses, associations, communities, other nonprofits, and individuals in Jamaica and other countries to provide comprehensive care services to Jamaicans in need.
- Help Jamaicans get medical care and other resources to live a healthy and relatively comfortable lifestyle
- Build homes for Jamaicans who are homeless
- Provide groceries for Jamaicans who are unable to feed themselves and their families
- Help Jamaicans who may need therapeutic assistance
- Help Jamaicans find ways to help themselves through employment or training
HOW IT WORKS
- The identification of needy Jamaicans through referral, self contact; etc.
- Identify the most important challenges that prevent Jamaicans from being economically and physically self-sufficient
- Work with the Jamaicans in need to establish goals that would eliminate or, reduce these challenges, which hindered self-sufficiency
- Connect Jamaicans in need with relevant partners who would assist in the achievement of these goals
- Or supply Jamaicans in need with the relevant program, products, or services that would assist in achieving these goals
- Follow up with those we are helping to ensure that these challenges are eliminated or reduced
